The short version
- No account. You don't sign in. The only name Kards uses is the one you type, or your Koffee username if Koffee is on your phone.
- No network access. Kards works entirely offline and never sends anything to us or anyone else.
- No tracking, no ads, no analytics. Kards doesn't track you across apps or websites and includes no analytics or advertising code.
1. Everything stays on your device
Your games in progress, settings, statistics, daily deal streak and the name you give your guide are saved only on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Koffee and Koffee: The Game
If you also have Koffee or Koffee: The Game, the three apps share a storage area on your device that only our apps can open. Nothing in it leaves your device.
- What Kards reads: your character and its name, to use as your guide, and, if the Koffee app has left them there, your Koffee username, to greet you, and a list of Koffee friends (their usernames, usual drinks and characters), so they can drop by the card table. What the Koffee app puts there, and when it removes it, is up to the Koffee app: see section 12 of the Koffee Privacy Policy.
- What Kards writes: how many games you've played and won today, your total wins, and whether you've won today's deal and your streak, so Koffee: The Game can reward you in the cafe.
You can stop friends dropping by in Settings › Your guide.
3. Sharing a deal
If you share a deal with a friend, Kards makes a link holding the cards, the game type, your time if you've won, and your name, and hands it to the share sheet. You choose who gets it. Kards has no server, so the link itself is the whole message.
4. Deleting your data
Deleting Kards removes everything it saved in its own storage. The win counts it shared with Koffee: The Game stay in the shared storage area while the game or Koffee is installed.
5. Who's responsible
Kards is made by Koffee, in Ireland. The person responsible is named in the Koffee Privacy Policy. Questions: hello@koffee-app.com. If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
